Bye Bye, Paci | Fayetteville Stedman NC Photography

My baby boy is growing faster than I can keep up.  He will be 3 in 2 weeks.  I can’t believe that 3 years ago, I was complaining about a pregnancy and how I wanted “this baby born right now”.  Little did I know that I would get my wish, way too soon.  But my little one pound miracle has grown into a handsome and extremely scary bright little boy, who had an addiction to a paci.  We were supposed to take it away at 2 1/2 years, but kept putting it off. Today was the day.  We took him to Build A Bear where he stuffed his pacis inside “Paci the Bear” that he picked out.  I wish he didn’t pick out a green shamrock bear, but that’s the one he wanted (green is his favorite color right now).  I’m sure we’ll find more pacis around the house to go stuff in another more neutral bear.  He did have a bit of a throw down when he saw that the pacis couldn’t come out once they went in, and we’ve already had a throw down at home before his evening nap.

As a testiment of my boy getting older, mommy had to capture it.  These go in the scrapbook.

February 22, 2010 - 2:00 pm Cara - I love this idea! We had the paci fairy come and take my DD's paci's away and leave a baby doll. I am curious what settings you used while you were in build a bear. Your photos look great. I have such bad luck when I take photos there. Thanks
