Maxwell, Future Rockstar | Fayetteville NC Children Photography

Maxwell is one of my favorite kids on Earth.  Not only is he insanely gorgeous, and extremely talented, but he is also funny and sweet and polite.  Look out girls, there are going to be fights for this one.  When his wonderful parents wanted something fun for his session and suggested that he plays the drum (this kid can rock!) I was super excited to get to work with him.  Max is just a photographer’s dream child, and the session went exactly as I envisioned.  Thank you M family for entrusting me with preserving this moment for your family.  I can’t wait to work with you guys again!

Fifty Two on Friday – Fashion | Fayetteville NC Newborn Photographer

This year, I’ve joined 19 other fantastic photographers to do a year long journey–the Fifty Two on Friday.  You can see last week’s post here.

This week, Fashion.  Now I do not have a fashionable bone in my body.  Neither does my poor little boy, who can put together the most  horrendous outfits you have ever seen.  I’m always jealous to see those girls who just can throw together a look and they look gorgeous.  I need to be on an episode of What Not to Wear myself.

But when you are 1, anything looks cute on you.  Now I have a version of this photo with a dimply hiney but I didn’t want to put it out for cyberspace, but oh let me tell you, dimply hineys and high heels are adorable on an infant–but on me, its not a good look.  Ruffle hiney and high heels work for Leah here, but on me, I’m sure it would not be fashion, it would be a nightmare come true.

Guess who’s going to be a big brother | Fayetteville NC Newborn Photographer

I have photographed 103 newborns in 3 years.  Each and every one  have left me with a slight longing for another of my own, but I was able to send them home to their mommies with no loss of sleep due to midnight feedings.  I was hesitant to have another baby.  My first perfect boy was only a pound and a half when he was born.  I don’t think I can go through that again.  But now that my boy is going to be 4 years old in 2 weeks…I miss having a little one.  I want my little boy to grow up with a sibling (or two) so that when I’m gone, he will still have family.  I don’t want to leave this earth leaving him alone.  I want him to have the joys of nieces and nephews (well in my case, I only know the joy of nephews!) one day.  I want him to fight with his sibling and protect them when there is a bully around.  I  had 2 little brothers of my own, I want the same for him.  Plus, he’s a tad spoiled.

So, in October, I will welcome the newest Small baby, who will hopefully not be so small, and will be patient enough to wait until its time to enter the world.  One of my greatest regrets is that I wasn’t skilled enough for great photos of Aidan as a baby and newborn.  I can’t wait to document every tiny milestone and day with the newest baby Small.

And in honor of this occasion, I would love to give away a free newborn session!  Please post below if you are expecting a newborn within the next 3 months.  I will choose a winner (or 2 or 3, depending on the number of entries) at random for a free full session and free 8×10 print.

Now without further ado, the proud big brother, who has refused to even let me pull of his big brother shirt long enough to wash it.

Fifty-Two on Friday | Innocence Fayetteville Stedman NC Newborn Photographer

This year, I’ve joined 19 other fantastic photographers to do a year long journey–the Fifty Two on Friday.  You can see last week’s post here.

This week, the theme is Innocence.   And what on Earth is more innocent than a brand new baby?  Meet baby Parker.  I have known little Parker’s family my entire life, and they are over the moon for this new addition to the family.  This little boy is going to be so spoiled by many.  I am honored that they shared their new bundle of joy with me, if only for an hour of so.  I got plenty of snuggles in with him, and I hope that I get to watch this little guy grow up!

Happy Valentines Day! | Fayetteville NC Newborn Children Photographer

Ah, I’ve waited SO long to blog this session.  I shared a peek for my 52 on Friday, but now, for the photos.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines!  I had a Valentines weekend, spent in Tampa.  We took my boy and my handsome nephews to Busch Gardens and had a blast.  Hubby sent me flowers for valentines anyway of course, the no gift rule doesn’t always apply to him.

Aidan is of course, a little ladies man.  I know I’m going to have my hands completely full when he gets to be a teenager, especially seeing how much he loves little girls now.  This is his “girl” Daisy.  I am sure glad he has chosen such a sweet beautiful little girl to marry.  I’ll have pretty grandchildren :)

This year, I’ve joined 19 other fantastic photographers to do a year long journey–the Fifty Two on Friday.  You can see last week’s post here.

This week, the theme is Love.   What a perfect theme for Valentine’s Day.  I have held off on blogging Aidan’s Valentines Day session until now.  This is Aidan’s first love, Daisy.  I surely hope they grow up to get married because that will definitely mean I would have beautiful grandchildren and absolutely love his mother-in-law.  Daisy wasn’t so sure about Aidan’s kisses (and he was all about giving them, he’s quite the ladies man.)  On their following movie date, Daisy gave Aidan a chocolate kiss, and told him that was the only kind he was going to get.
