Can you believe this shot was taken when she was a year old? She was so very sleepy that when I was putting her pajamas on, we were posing her on the changing table. So then I thought I’d take her up to the studio–and she stayed asleep! So I undressed her…and she was an angel. This is my very favorite shot of 2012, actually my favorite shot I have ever taken.
Aidan, Ella, and I would love to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I have fallen off the blogging wagon the last few months with the busy season.
August was a rough month for me–I had a surgery that kept me out of work for the whole month, but that didn’t stop me from photographing my princess as often as I could. She has changed so much this month, and really come out of her shell.
My beautiful boy
I can’t believe that my little princess has grown from an infant to a toddler right before my eyes. She’s temperamental, spoiled rotten, and gorgeous. I love her more and more.
Prepare to be bombarded with photos…
Practicing her princess wave
I think my favorite photo to date. You can see her two new teeth!
Look I have another kid! Aidan isn’t letting me photograph him much lately.
This month, Ella has learned to army crawl, sit completely unassisted without toppling over, eat cookies with her hands, steal food off the table, and pull her brother’s hair. She can give hugs and big open mouth kisses. She’s a ninja on a changing table and can flip over and grab every object with her octopus arms that suddenly spout from her tubby little body. She insists on being held 24/7 and has the attitude that won’t quit. Her cheeks are completely edible. Her hair is getting longer and even thicker than before, and is the prettiest shade of dirty blonde that matches her skintone, which is like my youngest brother’s and a little bit olive. Her eyes–goodness her eyes. I get told all the time how beautiful they are. Just this week, a man told me she had the prettiest eyes he’d ever seen. And today at breakfast, I overheard our waitress tell another girl to “go look at that baby’s eyes”. I love this diva to pieces even though she totally exasperates me–especially when I try to take her photos (which she thinks is a form of ultimate torture.)
I realized the other day how long its been since I even posted a blog–and SO much longer since I have shared my own baby girl Ella. Of course if you follow me on Facebook, you see her all the time, but I forget how important it is for me to blog her photos. I love to look back on my Aidan posts and see what he was doing at each time of year.
So today I am making another new year’s resolution–BLOG–but especially blog my sweet babies. They are growing up before my eyes.
